Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan-Peace maker like Gandhi
-He fought against the British empire. The British had drawn a line between Afghanistan and what is now Pakistan -He was also known as Badshah Khan -He was 98 years old when he dies , he died of a stroke in 1988 -He spent a life time advocating nonviolence To achieve his political aims ,And spent 25 year in Pakistan and British jails for doing so - He fought from the early 1920's until his last arrest by the Pakistan Government in 1976 -Khan met Ghandi in 1919, and shortly after founded the Khudai Khidmatgars or “Servants of God”. He founded the organization to expand his revolutionary work. Response Peace Jam flunks reality testI think that what your saying is a bit of ridiculous because i feel like there no reason we always need to fight to have freedom . I have always gotten more outta bein peaceful. I dont think violence is the way to go honestly . I feel if there was no criticism in this world or about the world , our world would n ever get fixed . the things that are wrong . I feel like this is something we should learn about in school because its important to know ways to not use violence unless you have to . I feel like everyone has their own opinion and if peqace is there way of handleing things and if its not we shouldnt be saying all the negative things we do there so much more we could do differently to get our freedom .

I Should Know About Gandhi-Born in 1869 - Died in 1948
-Born In India -He was Hindu , his mother was a big influence on his relgion -He was the youngest in his family - His mother taught him to respect all relgions - Refugee Crisis-Syria4.6 million Syrians are refugees ,6.6 million are displaced in Syria Half of them are children .Where can most refugees be found well in the middle east in Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt. This also affects the children in Syria , many are becoming ill, malnourished, abused, or exploited. Millions have been forced to leave school. Why are they leaving their homes ? Well a big on is violence , 320,000 people have been killed since the Syrian civil war began , also killing nearly killing 12,000 children , 1.5 million have been wounded and permanently disabled. Another reason is because of collapsed infrastructure . the economy has shattered since the loss of health care ,education and other infrastructure. Also children safety .What Are their needs ? Well they need the normal necessitates like food, water, clothing all that stuff .They also need shelter .A safe enviorment They need all they things for when winter hits like warm clothing , heaters .
A force more powerfulWhen Gandhi came from South Africa he was known to be showing Non-Violence to the people around him. March 2nd is the date where Gandhi emailed a very important British royal saying how he will fight for the salt and told the other Indians to fight back to not stand there and let the British control them like that. This began the salt march, the 240 mile walk. The start of it was on March 12th. Gandhi was the oldest one there. He was hoping to get arrested. He told the Indians to to quit their goverment filled jobs. He wanted to quit his job to gain publicty. Why? because the more publicity there is more people will notice the story and see it and begin to question why the British are doing what they are doing to the Indians. March 24th is the date the march reached the sea.

*Reduce the military budget by 10% and use the money for education . *Throw book at each other not bombs *The iran nuclear deal ,the united states singed a deal Which kind of activist are you ?I got Walter Rauschenbusch!
He is a Baptist theologian during World War I, Rauschenbusch protested the war, saying national leaders were using idealistic rhetoric to mask their capitalistic and financial motivations. The questions made me think. I don't know how much i liked them but maybe that because i haven't really thought about the question i was asked on the website. Martin Luther KingMLK was a huge believer in solving things and living his life through nonviolence. During the Civil Rights Movement and his leadership and dedication for 13 years, he achieved more steps toward racial equality than North American had in 350 years prior! He is thought of to be one of the greatest nonviolence leader is history! While MLK was leading the movement for the rights of African Americans, he never once let the whites bring him down to their level of physical or verbal abuse. Instead he used the power of his words to make a difference.
Gandhi and MLK Jr. were very much alike. They were both inspired and influenced by the Russian writer Leo Tolstoy and decided to dedicate their lives to making change through nonviolence. They both stood up for what they believed in no matter the consequences. Even though only King won the Nobel Peace Prize, Gandhi was nominated for it several times. The reason these people are still talked about and taught about every single day is because of their rarity and their need for justice. They both were killed because their happiness made others angry. Maandeeq CafeThe group i was in had Abdishukri he is from Somalia. He has 3 brothers and 2 sisters .
